I'm curious the context in which this video was used, as it is pretty dry and uninteresting. However, this video does a good job of laying out the basics of how to maintain social relationships. I think that there are some striking differences between this video and our current way of learning these ideas. It's interesting to see that these principles are now slipped into current television shows. I thought of when the youtube video "Don't Bite your Friends" became a funny internet sensation. It is a segment of a children's show that points out the very basic learned behavior--don't bite your friends. Nowadays, we don't have to show as many strictly educational videos to the youth because basic principles of how to act are ingrained in our media. The style and message had me thinking back to shows like Leave it to Beaver telling a story but also teaching life lessons. Obviously this was done in a much lower quality and more obvious way as a way of educating and not for entertainment.DylanHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03063986922498732957noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6421860674803430497.post-84247238718620822752014-09-28T21:53:36.857-05:002014-09-28T21:53:36.857-05:00Jack, this video was really interesting! It was eye opening to see how much they stressed how much fun it was to be a friend and how much you should be a respectful friend. Nice connection to the modern information society!
