Intro

Hello friends, my name is Mark McGill. I'm a junior studying Comm Arts, and I'm also working towards the Digital Studies Certificate, which is why I'm taking this course. I'm from the small town of Stevens Point, WI (which is literally in the middle of the state).  My biggest interests are probably soccer, music, League of Legends, and mtg.  I used to play cymbals on the drum line of the UW Marching Band, but I had to quit this semester to focus on school.  I'm friendly, so get to know me if you want to!

Introduction

Hello everyone!
My name is Daniel Rodriguez and I am a junior studying OTM(business). I was born and raised in Chicago, but I love Madison; it's a good change coming from such a large metropolitan area to a smaller college town. I absolutely love the outdoors. This summer I went to Mexico(twice) and was able to experience swimming in the great blue ocean with a lot of interesting animals! I was also able to  hike up(not to the tip unfortunately) my hometown's volcano!

As far as this class goes, I'm actually pretty excited to learn some things. I'm not a very tech-savvy person, so this will be a change for me. I hope it goes well! I'm excited to work with everyone!

Good luck this semester,

-Daniel R.

Introduction

Hello, my name is Jesse Schoenike and I'm a junior studying economics. On top of economics, I am also working towards a certificate in computer sciences. I was born and raised in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, which is about halfway between here and Milwaukee. I have 2 brothers, 1 sister, and a dog back home. Some of my favorite things during this time of year are camping, swimming, and spending time with my family. When I'm not busy with schoolwork, I also spend a lot of time at my job at Newell's Deli, which is a dining hall inside of Smith. One of the big changes since the starting of summer was that my older brother, who lived in Madison for four years, moved to Winona. It was great having him around all the time, so it's been a little difficult adjusting to that.

(I'm on the left).

Besides the basic information about my life, I'm definitely looking forward to certain aspects of this course. Although I rarely write or present speeches anymore, I've always been comfortable doing so and it should be a good change of pace from other coursework. Additionally, computers and technology have always been such a big part of my life, so it will be interesting to learn about the effects they have on us.

Looking forward to a great semester -

Jesse
